Maitum, Sarangani Province has always been well-known for its bangsi and water tubing. Those have been the common associations with the place. I’m sure there are still a lot to love about the place and, so far, I love all I know about it.
It mirrors how we usually develop love. You don’t have to love the whole package right away. Begin to love the little things you know. As you know more, you either learn to love them or not. You then can weigh the aggregates of both ends.
Afterward, you choose the end which you shouldn’t have even considered in the first place because when it comes to love, the wrong things sometimes shine the brightest. Or maybe not. What do I know, right?
There may be a lot that you’d rather miss but they should not be among those.
Another thing to love about water tubing is the whole idea wafts of resourcefulness. The makeshift material of the tire interior secured with a web of rope is used to navigate the river downstream.
An assistant is assigned on each guest and they drive the tire interiors, with you sitting on it, from rocks on the river. The ride hugely depends on the rapids and generally on your disposition.
Nevertheless, you get to enjoy the rapids – big or small – even when you are well aware that they’re all going downstream. And you’re going along with them.
This is also my second-time water tubing in Maitum. Both times have been so much fun. So again, I have to remind my self that not all second chances are worth it!
